1 1/2 c. Boiling Water
1/2 c. Sugar
1/2 Lemon (sliced)
3 Sticks Cinnamon
3 Whole Cloves
1 Lg Bottle of Burgundy Wine (qt. size)
Nutmeg

Directions:

Mix together first five ingredients, stir until sugar dissolves. Add wine, simmer 20 minutes. DO NOT BOIL! Serve hot with a sprinkle of nutmeg.

We were introduced to this while visiting Stephanie in Germany. It was at every "Weihnachtsmart" . It was a great visit. We enjoyed Debbie's Spanish accent to German words. Surprisingly enough, she only ordered once in Spanish.
