2 & 1/2 sticks of butter 2 cups sugar 2 cups flour 6 lg. eggs @ room temperature 1 teaspoon of lemon or orange or almond extract 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or you may use a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of nutmeg instead of the extracts
Grease and flour a tube pan or a bundt pan and set aside. Cream the butter with the sugar alternating with 3 of the eggs; add the flour alternating with the other 3 eggs. Add the flavoring. Pour into the prepared cake pan. Bake one hour at 350º or until inserted pick comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool on rack for 10 minutes. Place on serving plate and enjoy.
