3c. pumpkin pureed 2 c. scalded milk 1c. lt. brown sugar 1/4 tsp.powdered cloves 1c. white sugar 1 T. cinnamon 2T. Molasses 1 tsp. ground ginger 4 eggs, slightened beaten 1 tsp salt 2 unbaked 9" pie shells. Variation: add 1 tbsp. grated orange rind.
(if canned pumpkin is used, cook until thick before measuring)
Combine ingred. and mix thoroughly. Pour into pie shells. Bake at 450º for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375º and bake 40 minutes more. or until knife inserted between center and edge comes out clean. cool and serve.
