2 cups water
cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
Salt
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water. Mix together in saucepan brown sugar, flour and salt. Add hot water, stirring briskly. Cook until thick. Add butter and vanilla. Serve warm on any fresh or stale cake slices (Pound cake is good). For lemon sauce add tsp. nutmeg and 3 tbsp lemon juice.
