1 stick margarine or butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 c. orange marmalade
grated rind and juice of 1 orange
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. each cinnamon and allspice
1 and 1/2 c. grated carrots

Directions:

Preheat Oven to 350º

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, marmalade, rind, and juice. Sift dry ingredients together, including spices. Gradually fold, not beat, into mixture. Stir in carrots. Spoon batter into 11" x 7" x 1" greased and floured baking dish.
Bake 40-45 minujtes or until done. Cool.
