2 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. milk
3 TBSP cocoa
1/2 c. peanut butter [creamy]
3 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins or nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Put the first four ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil for one minute. Quickly beat in the remaining ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonful onto waxed paper and let set for one half hour.

Our brother Gilbert, used to call us from the "kids phone" in the den, when I was in the kitchen, and ask me to make these. Long, long time ago...

When we moved to Ohio, I learned that my friend's family calls these "Bear Shit" cookies!
