1 large size can of dill pickles
2 cups white sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 tbsp mixed pickling spices
1 onion in large chunks-optional

Directions:
Directions:
Buy cheapest pickles. Empty pickles into bowl. Cut pickes into inch pieces and place them back into jar. To jar add other ingredients. Put lid on jar tightly. Let pickes set several hours at room temperature or until sugar dissolves. It will make its own syrup. Turn the jar often and roll it from side to side. After sugar has dissolved, place jar in refrigerator. Turn it over every day. They will be ready to eat in 4 days.
