1 can Southwestern style beans(this is used instead of meat) do not drain
1 bag of lettuce( you can clean your own but I like short cuts)
1 med diced tomatoe
1 small can of sliced black olives, if you prefer you can use green salad olive, I've done both
1/2 chopped green pepper
1 to 2 c of cheddar cheese, or I also like to use colby and monterayjack
1 bottle of Western style dressing
1 bag of Taco Chips

Start layering with the lettuce
Then the south western style beans, do not drain.
then layer each vegetable, this you can add or leave out any veg, some may want to add green onion or change the peppers.
end with the cheese and western dressing to taste and garnish with the taco chips

this recipe I also found on the internet, not sure of the web sight It was called 7 layer taco salad I liked it because it had no meat , and If I had to I could stop at a store on the way to a picnic or pot luck and prepare on sight with little prep and no stove.
