- 1 cup - all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup - granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp - baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp - cinnamon
* your choice add one or 2 of these
- 3/4 cup - chopped nuts
- raisins
- chocolate chips
- 1 cup - brown sugar
- 2 tbsp - butter
- 1 tsp - vanilla
- 2 cups - hot water

Preheat oven 325 F

- mix together base ingredients, dump in a 8 x 8 pan
- mix sauce ingredients together
- pour over top of base
- bake for 40 minutes
- serve with vanilla ice cream
