2 eggs
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Lump of butter (1 tablespoon)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs well, add sugar gradually, then salt, milk and vanilla. Stir until well mixed, then place in one-quart casserole dish. Put lump of butter in and place dish in a pan of warm water. Place in 350º oven and cook until knife inserted in center comes out clean or when you shake it, center portion about the size of a demi-tasse cup is not quite set. This takes about 1 hour.
