- 9 cups - all purpose flour
- 1 tsp - salt
- 1 1/2 cups - lukewarm water
- 1/2 cup - granulated sugar
- 2 packets - yeast
- 3 eggs - beaten
- 1/2 cup water combined with 1/2 cup liquid shortening

Directions:

Preheat oven 375º F

- in a bowl dissolve the sugar in the 1/12 cups of water
- add yeast, let sit 20 minutes till foamy
- add eggs, stir
- pour yeast mixture into large bowl, rinse with one cup warm water, pour into yeast mixture
- add shortening mixture
- stir all of this into a large bowl with the flour and salt
- mix by hand until well blended
- let rise, till doubled in size
- punch down, let rise again
- roll into buns, put in greased cake pans
- let rise 10 - 15 minutes
- bake 20 - 25 minutes, till golden
