- 16 cups - cucumbers - sliced
- 6 - onions - sliced
- 1/ cup - pickling salt
- ice cubes- 2 trays

Brine
- 3 cups - white vinegar
- 5 cups - granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp - tumeric
- 1 1/2 tsp - celery seed
- 2 tbsp - mustard seed

Directions:

- in large pot layer the cucumbers, and onions with ice cubes
- cover top layer with ice cubes
- cover, let stand 3 hours
- drain, place back in pot
- combine brine ingredients, pour over cucumbers
- bring to a boil
- pack into sterilized sealer jars
