"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Forgotten Roast, by Jane Siegel, is from The Siegel Family Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
Place roast on foil. Pour soup over it and sprinkle with dry soup mix. DO NOT salt and pepper. Wrap foil tightly around roast. Place wrapped roast in a shallow roasting pan. Place in a 325º oven for 4-5 hours. Test for doneness with a fork. When done remove foil and release all liquid into a pan. Add thickening for gravy.
