1/2 C celery sliced
1/2 C onion, coasely chopped
1/2 C green pepper, coasely chopped
2 teas. margarine
16 oz can tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
pepper dashed
2 1/2 C. dry pea (navy beans, cooked, unsalted, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Cook celery, onion, and green pepper in margarine until tender, about 5 minutes.
Break up large pieces of tomatoes. Add tomatoes and seasonings to cooked vegetables. Bring to a boil.
Add beans; return to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and boil gently until flavors are blended and liquid is reduced, about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

2-1/2 cups canned Navy beans, drained, may be used in place of cooked dry beans; omit salt if canned beans are used. About 200 calories per serving.
