1 cup bread crumbs, soaked in 3/4 cup milk 1 egg 1-1/2 pound hamburger 1/2 pound pork 2 tablespoons onions 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Mix all together. Shape into 48 balls. Put in refrigerator or freezer to set. Roll in flour. Brown in 2 tablespoons lard. Pour off lard and add 1 cup boiling water. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour turn occasionally.
