1/2 c. grape nuts
1/2 c. warm water
3 eggs, beat well
1 t. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. dark syrup
1/8 t. salt
3 T. butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Combine grape nuts and water, let stand until water is absorbed. Meanwhile, combine eggs and sugar. Add syrup, salt, vanilla, and butter. Fold in softened grapenuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until filling is puffed completely across the top. Cool and serve with whipped cream, or plain.
Optional: 1/2 cup pecans may be added before baking.
