Ingredients:  
2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2-3 teaspoons crushed anise seed
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until well blended.
Add eggs to above mixture one at a time. Add dry ingredients a little at a time until well blended.

Make into 4 rolls.
2 rolls per cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 18 minutes. Slice and toast each side about 5 minutes per side.
