1 cup plain whole milk yogurt
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 tablespoons dried oregano
salt & pepper, to taste
2 lbs boneless chicken, cut into 2-in chunks
1 sweet onion, cut into 8 pieces

Yogurt Sauce:
1 cucumber, peeled, seeded & finely chopped
Salt to taste
16 oz plain whole milk yogurt
1/4 small red onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh mint

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, stir together the yogurt, oil, grated onion, garlic, oregano, salt & pepper.
Add the chicken & stir well. Cover the bowl & refrigerate for 4 hours or as long as overnight.
Thread the chicken on skewers, alternating with the pieces of onion. Grill for 8 min or until they are cooked through but still moist. Serve with yogurt sauce & pita bread.

Yogurt Sauce:
In a strainer set over a bowl, layer the cucumber with salt. Set bowl aside for 15 min.
In another bowl, stir the yogurt until it is smooth. Add cucumber, onion, garlic & mint. Cover & refrigerate for at least 20 min.
