2 cups white sugar
1 cup cooking oil
3 tbsp soda
1 tbsp salt
2 cups boiling water
6 cups health bran
1 litre buttermilk
4 eggs
2 cups raisins
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl pour boiling water over bran set aside.
Using a very large bowl; cream oil, sugar and eggs, add flour, soda, salt and milk. Continue beating: add (bran and water mixture) and raisins.
Makes 5 dozen. Batter will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
Bake 375ºF for 15 minutes

You can substitute skim milk and 3 ripe banana for buttermilk and eliminate the raisins.
