Melt together in Microwave then set aside:
14 oz. bag Caramels
1/3 cup Evaporated Milk
1 box German Chocolate cake mix or any type of chocolate
3/4 cup melted butter
1 T. water
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Mix together cake mix, butter, water, and nuts, and pat about 1/2 of the dough in a 9x13 pan, Bake 350 for 8-12 minutes.
Sprinkle / Spread on top:
1 cup chocolate chips and the melted caramel mixture.
Pat remaining dough into 2" flat pieces and place on top of the caramel.
Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes more.
