"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Hot Tamales, by Ron Cisler, is from A Little Bit of Heaven! ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 lb ground beef 2 tablspoons chopped onion 1 can tomato soup Salt
Brown ground beef and drain. Saute onions until soft and mix in with ground beef. Salt to taste. Add tomato soup mix well. Add a can of water (using tomato soup can) to mix and let simmer till reduced approximately 20 miniutes and stirring occasionally. Serve as sandwhich with dinner rolls or biscuits.
My daughter loves these and we call them Sloppy Ruthie's! My brother Ron likes to put a layer of chips on his sandwhich. It is Yummy! This can also be served as filling for tacos or just as a dip with chips!
