1 cup walnuts, chopped 1 tsp vanilla
lb salt butter 1 14-15 oz can condensed milk
cup sugar cup Karo syrup from bottle with blue label

Directions:
Directions:

Stir altogether over a medium low flame. You have to stir all the time, it boils very slowly, approx 30-40 minutes. Then put in 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 tsp vanilla. Mix an pour into 8 square pan. Cut and wrap each caramel in wax paper. Store in container or box. If dark caramels are desired, put in 1 oz bitter sweet chocolate
