small, whole, firm green tomatoes
sterilized canning jars (quart size)
1 bud of garlic
1 stalk of celery, sliced
1 green pepper cut in fourths
Brine
Dill to taste (fresh dill or dill seed)

Directions:
Directions:
Use small, whole, firm green tomatoes, and pack into sterilized canning jars. Add to each quart jar, 1 bud of garlic, 1 stalk of celery, sliced, and 1 green pepper cut in fourths. Make a brine of 2 quarts water, 1 quart cider vinegar, and 1 cup salt. Add dill to taste, using the fresh dill or dill seed. Boil 5 minutes. Pour brine over tomatoes in jars and seal at once. These will be ready for use in 4 to 6 weeks.
