8 pears
1 1/8 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon rind, grated
4 cups dry red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Peel pears, leave stems. Mix sugar, lemon rind, and wine in a baking dish - add pears. Cover and cook 50 minutes at 350.
Baste and turn pears frequently.
