1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
2 tbsp water
1 cup flour
2 1/2 cups oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, white and brown sugar and then add eggs, water and vanilla. Mix well. In another bowl mix together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and mix well. Lastly mix in the oats. Drop by a teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Cookies will spread out so no more than 3 across Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.
