2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup (1-1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, eggs, milk, baking powder, vanilla and salt. With electric mixer on low speed, beat until well mixed, scraping bowl and beaters occasionally. (Do not over beat). Shape dough into ball. Wrap in plastic wrap; refrigerate 2-3 hours.

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease cookie sheets. On lightly floured surface with floured rolling pin, roll one-third of dough to 1/4-inch thickness; keep remaining dough chilled. Using floured cookie cutters, cut into shapes; place cookies on prepared cookie sheets. Bake 11 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
