3/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp cocoa
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:

Cream the shortening, addsugar, add 3 well beaten eggs. Add flour, spices and cocoa then add the milk and nuts.
