1 cup raisins
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 egg slightly beaten
1 3/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. all spice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine raisins and water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in oil. Cool. Stir in sugar, egg, and dry ingredients. Pour batter into a greased 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. When cool frost with a thin powder sugar icing mixed with a little lemon juice.

Bake 375 degrees 15 to 20 minutes
