1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2&1/2 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla.

Directions:
Directions:
Add all ingredients in order. Mix and chill dough. Roll out dough and cut into circles. Fill one circle with Lekvar (prune filling) and cover with another circle. Seal by wetting the edge of bottom circle lightly and press together. Poke a hole in the top of each cookie to allow steam to escape.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
