1/2 cup lard
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped raisins
Grated rind of 1 orange or orange peel

Topping
Juice of 1 orange
3/4 cup confectioners sugar

Mix ingredients in order given.
Pan 9 x 9
Bake at 350º for 45 minutes or until done.
Topping:
Spread the following on the cake immediately after taking from the oven and allow to soak in a little at a time until it is all absorbed.
