3 tablespoons plum preserves or jam
1 green onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon curry powder
dash ground cinnamon
dash ground red pepper
4 pork loin or rib chops, cut 1 1/4 inches thick (about 2 pounds total)
2 cloves garlic, split

Sauce:
In a small saucepan, heat and stir preserves/jam, green onion, soy sauce, lemon juice, curry powder, cinnamon, and red pepper over medium heat until bubbly. Set aside. Trim fat from chops. Rub both sides of chops with cut side of garlic.

Grill chops on an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 25 to 35 minutes or until juices run clear, turning once and brushing with sauce during last 10 minutes of cooking time.
