Can of small beets or sliced beets
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
2 cloves of garlic
Thinly sliced onion (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Drain beets. Combine beets with onion and chopped garlic. Dissolve sugar in vinegar; add to beet mixture. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
