2/3 cup shortening
2-2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3-1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
2/3 cups walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugar; beat well. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in pumpkin and water. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Fold in nuts. Spoon into 2 well greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
