1 stick oleo
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
2 c. sugar
1 c. coconut
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 c. buttermilk
5 eggs, separated
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. nuts, chopped

Icing:
1/2 stick oleo
1 box confectioners sugar
2 tsp cold, black coffee
2 tsp. vanilla
8 oz. cream cheese


Directions:
Directions:
Beat everything, except egg whites, together. Fold in stiffly-
beaten egg whites. Bake in 3 (9-inch) cake pans for 30 minutes
at 350 .

Spread frosting and a sprinkling of nuts between each layer and
on top.
