2 cups broccoli
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 tbsp finely minced garlic
1/4 tsp crushed red-pepper flakes
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup short tube pasta (penne)
1/4 cup pasta cooking water
pepper to taste
2 tbsp shaved Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Chop the broccoli into about 1/2" pieces. In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and pepper flakes, saute 1 minute. Add the broccoli and salt. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes. Broccoli should be very tender.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add the pasta, adn cook according to package. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water; drain pasta.
Stir the pasta into the broccoli, adding the water. Stir a few minutes to blend flavors. Season with pepper and top each serving with the Parmesan cheese.
