1 1/2 to 2 pounds round steak
1/4 cup flour
1 pound fresh mushrooms
1 can whole tomatoes (14 to 16 ounces)
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
pinch of black pepper
1/2 cup green pepper, cut in chunks
1/4 cup dry red wine (or a little more)

Directions:
Directions:
Pound meat with flour; sear. In a large oven-proof pot, combine tomatoes, onion soup mix, and black pepper. Top with meat with mushrooms and push down so you can spoon the tomato mixture over all. Add green pepper and wine. Cover and bake at 350 degrees until the meat and mushrooms are tender, about 1 hour. Serve over rice.
