1 c. water
2 c. raisins
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar
4 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
2 t. salt
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. cloves
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. allspice
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Boil water and raisins for 5 minutes and cool. Set aside. Mix shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, and eggs. Beat well. Mix dry ingredients then add to raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
