Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup - brown sugar
- 2 tbsp - butter
- 1 1/2 cups - boiling water
- 4 cups peeled sliced apples

Dumpling Batter
- 1/2 cup - granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp - butter
- 1/2 cup - milk
- 1 tsp - vanilla
- 1 cup - all purpose flour
- 1 tsp - baking powder
- pinch salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350 F

Caramel Sauce
- in a saucepan boil sugar, butter, water for a few minutes
- pour syrup into 9 x 13 baking dish
- pour apples on top

Dumpling Batter
- mix all dumpling ingredients together with mixer
- drop by tablespoonful onto the apples
- bake for 20 minutes

- serve with whipping cream or ice cream
