4 lb Russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 medium bulbs of garlic, separated and peeled
1 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups milk (or half and half or cream)
1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
1/2 tsp white pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a large Cutch oven, arrange potatoes and garlic cloves. Cover with water and add 1 tsp salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until tender, about 25-30 minutes. In a small saucepan warm milk and butter until butter melts. Drain potatoes and add milk mixture, cheese, salt and pepper. Mash with a potato masher.
