Ingredients:	Ingredients: 1/2 c. butter 1 2/3 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate 1/3 c. milk 2 c. flour, sifted 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. chopped walnuts (optional) 1 tsp. baking soda powdered sugar

Directions:	Directions: Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Melt chocolate. Add chocolate which as been cooled after melting over hot water. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in nuts. Chill thoroughly. Form into 1 inch balls and roll lightly in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet about 2-3 inches apart. Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Do not over cook these cookies, they turn hard.
