3 to 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes 1 T minced onion salt and pepper butter 1 1/4 C hot milk
Heat oven to 350º. Arrange potatoes in layers in 1 1/2 qt baking dish. Sprinkle each layer with minced onion (1 Tbsp total), and dot with butter, also sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add hot milk. Bake uncovered about 1 1/4 hours.
