1 lb. ground sirloin or ground chuck
1 egg
6 Ritz crackers
2 slices of bread, broken up and moistened with water
Sprinkle of parsley
Handful Romano cheese
2 - 3 tsp. basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Sprinkle with garlic salt or garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
1. Mix all ingredients together well. Add water to get a nice consistency.
2. Roll into meatballs and place on a greased cookie sheet.
3. Bake for 30 minutes. Then turn each meatball over and sprinkle with garlic powder. Bake another 20 to 30 minutes.

Grandpa DiSalvatore was really big on adding fresh chopped garlic to the meatball mixture. The very first meatballs I ever made was 52 years ago under Pa's supervision. Needless to say I burned them all and had to throw them out. I've improved over the years!
