1 bag baby spinach
1 cup sliced water chestnuts, drained
5 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
1 cup bean sprouts
2 hard boiled eggs, crumbled

Dressing:
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup salad oil
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1 grated onion
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together ingredients for dressing. Chill for 1 hour or more.

Assemble salad and pour dressing over. Toss gently and serve.

This is an old, tried and true recipe from Pres's mom. The original recipe called for more sugar. You can also make it lower fat by reducing the amount of oil. Simple and yummy.
