Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This comes from Peg Stark, matriarch of Leavenworth's Extended Family. Peg created so many opportunities for young children in Leavenworth that she became the only person I've know who has had a community commission a statue of her while she's still alive! Gracing the highway frontage of the Leavenworth City Hall & Library building is a statue entitled "The Storyteller" - it's Peg! She is so well loved and remembered here that each winter, some mystery person(s) puts a sweater on the statue, and the sweater changes each week....
