1 1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tbsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 c. raisins 4 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt
Using mixer, blend together the first 4 ingredients. Add milk and raisins and mix well. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Use a 2 lb. coffee can or something of about that diameter, cut out the cookies. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 10 minutes at 375°.
