1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening, sugars, vanilla, water, and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix flour with soda and salt: blend into shortening mixture. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inch apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
