Ingredients:  
1 lb. fresh green beans, cooked or steamed; or 2 cans of French cut or whole beans
1 medium onion, sliced
5 cloves garlic, cut in half
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 c. olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Drain beans and place in a casserole dish with onion and garlic.
2. Sprinkle on sugar. Let stand covered for 1 to 3 hours in refrigerator.
3. Blend vinegar, oil, and salt. Pour over beans.
Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
