2 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c.brown sugar
2 c. flour
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1 lb stewed dates
juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oats, flour, brown sugar and salt and blend in butter with hands. Sprinkle half of the mixture in a nine inch square pan, press down lightly and spread with warm date and lemon mixture. Sprinkle rest of crumb mixture on top. Dot with small pieces of butter. Bake about 20 minutes in 350 F oven.
