2 sticks butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1 loaf "Texas Toast" or Balkan Bakery Bread
Cinnamon
Raisins (optional)
7 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
1. Pour melted butter in a 9 x 13" pan and cover with the brown sugar.
2. Place a layer of sliced bread, as close together as possible, over the butter and sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon and raisins.
3. Cover with another layer of bread.
4. Combine and beat together eggs, vanilla and milk; pour mixture over bread layers.
5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350ºF for 40 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Makes it's own syrup.
