1 cake mix (any flavor)
1/3 c oil or 1/3 cup applesauce or half of each
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs

Optional: Chocolate chips

Directions:
Combine cake mix, oil, vanilla and eggs. If mixture seems too dry, add, 1 T water. Fold in any optional ingredients. Drop by TBSP on a greased cookie sheet or spread in an 8 x 13 pan like you would brownies. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

Elisa was pretty young when she started making them. Probably 7 or 8. I know they started 4-H at about 8 or 9 years old and it was before then.
